    • Welcome

      Brothers and Sisters,

This Friday, we will be having our regularly scheduled Union Meeting at the JATC at 7 pm. We will also be having a "Tool Day" event sponsored by Milwaukee, Dewalt and Klein. All of these vendors will be in attendance from 3:30 til 7. They will be offering discounts along with tool demo's. We will also be grilling burgers and brats before the meeting. Please come on out and enjoy the event and if you can, stay for the meeting.

Due to the lack of a state, or local mandate, we will not be requiring masks to attend the meeting. As per the local health department, vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a mask or social distance. They do, however, still recommend wearing masks and social distancing. We will not be enforcing either so please do whatever you are comfortable with. We will still have masks and hand sanitizer available at the meeting. If nothing changes, we will probably plan on having our July meeting back at the Union Hall. We will inform the membership if this occurs.

The newest CBA and wage sheets for both the Residential and Inside agreements are posted online. You can view these by clicking here.  You will be prompted to login at this point. As a reminder, your login is your card number and your password is whatever you set it at. If you have not set your password, it is your last name and last 4 of your SS#. If you have trouble logging in, please call us at the hall and we can assist you. See you Friday!!

IBEW Local 531 will be having it's annual golf outing this year.  It will be held August 28th at Chesapeake Run Golf Course located at 6430 S. 250 W. in North Judson.  Tee off will be promptly at 8 am so please arrive around 7 to register and sign up for skins, longest drive and closest to pin.  Please sign up even if you don't have all 4 golfers.

While we are all enjoying our three-day weekend, it's important to take at least a few minutes to reflect on what Memorial Day is all about. Whatever your thoughts on America's political system may be, there's no denying the magnitude of the sacrifice fallen soldiers have made fighting for our Country. To honor this sacrifice, IBEW Local 531 would like you to celebrate this Memorial Day, not only to remember those who have fallen, but also to reflect on the cause for which they gave their lives. Those we honor on Memorial Day have sacrificed it all so that we can enjoy the safety and freedom we so often take for granted — and one of the greatest ways to pay our respects to the fallen is to appreciate these gifts. So when you and your friends are talking politics and religion at your Memorial Day barbecue, remember the many men and women who fought to protect this freedom..
