In light of the Union Meeting being cancelled, there were a few things that i wanted to remind you about along with some new information. The trustees of the Decatur fund have issued some updated information regarding testing, treatment and vaccines regarding COVID-19. It also addresses Telehealth and virtual visits, Wellness Power Program, Prescriptions Drugs and fund office operations. There is also some information regarding our CVS Caremark Prescription benefits including relaxed refill restrictions along with no charges for home delivery of all prescriptions medications. With the CDC encouraging higher risk persons to stay home, this can be a convenient option to help you, or a loved one, from having to go to the pharmacy. I also want to remind everyone that if you have not completed your 2021 data card, you need to get that done to avoid an interruption in your coverage. This is to be completed every year and can be completed online on the Decatur website as well. For your convenience, i have attached a 2021 Data Card that you can download, print and send to Decatur.
I would also like to remind the membership that dues can be paid via automatic deduction through your First Trust Credit Union account or online with a credit card. You can also mail a check to the hall and we will mail you your receipt. If you wish to have it automatically taken out of the credit union, please contact the hall and Barb can set that up for you. If you want to pay online via credit card, click the link www.ibewlocal531.org/paydues. Also please remember that if you change your address, you need to let us know. Once you fill this out, we will notify all of the funds that there has been a change. For your convenience, a change of address form can be found on the website, and submitted electronically, under the Member Resources tab or by clicking here. In order to make sure you never miss a random drug test, i would also recommend signing up for their email/text alerts. This can be done on their website or simply by giving them a call. As many of you have heard, and as was in the last Conduit, we have a very sizeable solar project starting early Spring. Due to the manpower needs that will be required to complete this project, we will have opportunities to increase IBEW local 531's membership. We will be starting our recruitment efforts very shortly, and will start those efforts by reaching out to the membership first. Information regarding this opportunity is available and if any members have any relatives, friends, etc., that they believe would be a good candidate, we encourage you to direct them to our website to apply. As we all head into the weekend, please be safe in all that you do. Only you know what's best for you and your family. We have had alot of our members test positive with the COVID-19 virus and even have some that are struggling with their recovery. Now is the time that we all need to remain vigilant in doing our part of slowing the spread which includes following the CDC guidelines. If you start to feel ill, or believe you have any symptoms, I highly encourage you to get tested right away. The safety and well being of our membership, along with their families, is priority number one. Again, please be safe in all that you do and have a great weekend.
