  • UPDATE: Unemployment, MDLive, MC Executive Order
    Updated On: Apr 14, 2020

    Brothers and Sisters,

New information has been received in regards to Unemployment Benefits.  Many of the most common questions being asked can be found in Q&A form by Clicking Here.  A downloadable version is also available below.  All of the most recent and updated information can be found in RED.

Please be patient as the system is experiencing an immense amount of traffic right now.  Also, there WILL be 3 COVID-19 related questions at the end of your filing.

I will continue to monitor this and as updates are made I will make them available.

Most of you should have received information regarding a new benefit, MDLive, available from our Health & Welfare.  If you did not, you can click here to view this information.  While I have not used the service yet, I have personally downloaded the app, created my account and added my family members.  Everything seemed very straight forward and easy to use.  If you have any questions, please call Decatur at 800-765-4239

Michigan City Mayor, Duane Parry, has issued a city wide Executive Order in light of the coronavirus's spread in LaPorte County.  Mayor Parry has declared a local disaster emergency and issued an executive order instating a curfew.  For a complete copy of the Executive Order, click here or download below.

Efforts are being made by all to avoid as many "touches" as possible.  That being said, I would highly encourage direct deposit for anyone not currently using this method of payment.  This will help with everyone's safety along with minimizing risk of spreading the virus.   Some jobsites are getting more difficult to access, and mail service has been delayed due to the coronavirus.

All of this information can be found on our Covid-19 Resources Board.   The newest information will be highlighted.   This information is located in the "members resources" tab of the website but does NOT require a login.  Encourage family and friends to visit this and use it as their own "resource board".  Also, our app is available for all to download and receive instant "up to date" notifications of any changes.

Again, Thank you for those who continue to man our work in a "safe" manner and Thank you to those who have chosen to stay home to protect themselves and their families.

    Stay safe brothers and sisters

    #INthistogether

    Jim C.
