Retiree’s Club of IBEW Local 531

The 531 Retiree’s Club invites all retired members of Local 531 and their spouses to join the Club.

It is the goal of the Club to maintain the many friendships and the spirit of brotherhood that the members enjoyed during their working years. We also want the spouses to take an active part in the Club, to maintain  and make new friendships.

Meetings are held 5 times a year, starting in April and continuing thru December. The meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the even numbered months, (except February).

Each meeting includes a pot luck lunch. We try to start eating at noon, but with everyone visiting , sometimes we don’t eat until 12:30. After lunch, we have a short business meeting.

We are looking at several activities in which the members may participate. Some examples are: playing cards, bus trips, casino trips, bingo, etc. We would like to bring  speakers in to discuss relevant topics. We have some ideas but welcome and encourage members to present new ideas. And of course we welcome volunteers to help make things happen.

Our meeting schedule for 2016:

April 13

June 8

August 10

October 12

December 14

Right now, our meetings are held at the Hall, but we will be looking at some other venues for summer meetings.

Membership dues are $12 for the year and that includes both the member and spouse.
